I just finished with my workout at the gym. As I walked home I looked forward and saw no one in front of me on the sidewalk. I noticed there were no cars zooming down the street. I looked to the opposite sidewalk and didn't see anyone there either. And it dawned on me that I was all alone. This doesn't happen often in the city. But when it does the emptiness is like no other.

Great picture you just painted Joe. That is a very rare experience anywhere in NYC.
if theres one time you should be afraid in nyc, its when you're on a deserted street. it happened to me once in the bronx. yikes.
