April 27. That will be Ira's birthday. Laura's fluid is pretty darn high (25 is norm at the end of a pregnancy; Laura is at a 37.9) so we are hoping, praying, begging that her body can hold off until April 27. Everyone (OBGYN, surgeon, neonatologist, ECMO specialist, etc) will be around and ready on April 27 but before then, several of them are out of town. Please pray that we, rather Laura, can make it until then.

We have greatly appreciated your prayers. We have managed to make it this far due to your support.

Joe,

I am a dad with two new borns in the NICU right now. (I've had the tour that you described in an earlier post.) My wife delivered at 33 weeks. I understand the experience of praying hard that they hold on for another week, another day even, and realizing that my wife's body can't sustain the pregnancy any longer. The sonogram of Ira is beautiful. You are in my prayers as you and Laura face this reality together. May God bless and protect.

Joe,

I came to your blog today. I was so excited to see Laura's birthday picture...another child!!! What a blessing! Then my heart was made heavy by the difficulties that you and Ira are facing.

We love you all, and we will pray for you...we know nothing better...or else...to do.
