Ira had a good weekend until Sunday evening. And the roller coaster took another turn, another dip. He's been cranky ever since Sunday night and that's no exaggeration. If he's awake, he's crying. He's in pain and when he really gets worked up, he can't breathe. Laura and I come home at the end of the evening shaking. Laura's there now and I'm on my way up a little later this afternoon. I'm tired of this roller coaster ride. There are days that Laura and I want off.

It's totally understandable that you feel that way. It's tough when both of you feel strung out, stressed out, and just plain tired. Prayers are continuing to come your way. Hang In There....
I have often thought (especially since our second was born), that our kids should have a pause button. That way we could pause them for just an hour or so and catch a movie, take a nap, or in your case...just catch your breath. It would be a great invention- a kid TIVO.
I am so sorry Ira has had some rough days, we continue to pray for you and this very hard journey you are on.
Thank you again for posting your thoughts so regularly. It makes it SO much better to know exactly what your needs are each day as I pray.

I have been following your case and praying for Ira's healing as well as strength and provision for you and your wife. I found out about Ira through Noah Whaley's blog. I'm sure you have done so much research on the internet, but I was just curious to learn more about CDH as I was unfamiliar with the condition. I came across this website and just thought I would pass the link on to you...www.realhopeforcdh.com.
May God's peace that passes all understanding guard your hearts and your minds this day.
