No news just yet about when the surgery will be. Probably Friday or Saturday. Ira had a good day. Thank you for all your prayers. We feel covered. And we are.

Joe, Laura, Sophia, & Ira,

We are still praying for you and your family. We are so sorry to hear of this impending surgery and we hope and pray that all goes well.
"But you are a shield around me,O Lord. You bestow glory on me and lift up my head. To the Lord, I cry aloud, and He answers me from his holy hill." Psalm 3
God, be that shield for Ira and his family. Protect them with your mighty hand. Surround them with the Heavenly Hosts, that they may feel the breath of Heaven on their skin and the whisper of the Spirit in their ears.Praise you for your continuing faithfulness. Help us in our fear and sadness. We need the power of your Spirit. Thank you for all you have done and are doing .Amen.
Love,
Dave, Karise, Keely, & Kinlie

Joe and Laura,
My heart hurts for y'all. May the Lord "quiet you with His love," (Zeph. 3:17) and may He touch your precious Ira with healing, strength, and peace. You are constantly in our prayers; Ashlyn still prayers on her own each night for baby Ira. Love you guys.

Kim (for Jason, Ashlyn, and Laney too)

Hi Joe and Laura, just to let you know that I, like so many of our brothers and sisters at Manh. church of Christ read the blog to know how baby Ira is doing and to keep praying for him and for the family. Sorry is a word that is used so often, but know that we are with you in thoughts and prayers through these difficult times. I am sorry for the pain you are going through. I usually read the blog at work and today, as I read it I just could not stop crying just thinking of what you and Laura might feel. Just wanted to share this with you to let you know, we will keep praying.

I don't know your family except through friends of the Whaley's but I have been reading your blog since the very beginning and praying every day for Baby Ira. Every Monday when I come to work I read your blog usually with optimism. Today I am so angry, I have faith but not nearly the faith that you two have but every time I read the news I read about yet another horribly abused baby/child that has died in ways nobody wants to think about and I have held my fist toward the heavens and said "Why Lord, why don't you take these babies into your heavenly kingdom BEFORE they are abused and heal Ira and others like him that have good Christian families waiting to take them home. I know we aren't supposed to question God but I can't help it. I wanted to post a comment today even though you know you have people worldwide praying for that precious baby. Annie G. Houston, Tx
