Where's Your Smile?
Today was one of those days. One of those days when at several different times doctors and nurses surrounded Ira's bed trying to help him over whatever hump he was up against. One of those days where our health care professionals were at a loss. One of those days when tests came back negative and then positive and then negative and then positive. One of those days when old doctors and nurses from the NICU stopped by with saddened expressions. One of those days where it was hard to look at Ira's disfigured face that was oozing fluids from all possible exits. Today was one of those days.
I came home this evening to be with Sophia. As we sat on her floor playing she finally asked, "Dad, where is your smile?"

May you and your family find some peace and reason in all this.

praying wildly
I do not know what the right thing to say is. Just hold on. We are stronger than we believe that we are. Strength and love to you and your family. I am still praying.
Jehovah-Rapha, we beg You...
We don't know you or your family, but we are praying for Ira... for all of you.
on our knees...we love you Ira
love you. we'll continue to pray, pray, pray. we believe.
A friend told me about your Ira ... We just moved from NYC to Europe but tonight feel very close to our former home and your little boy. We have one too, a little older than Ira, and can't imagine what you are going through.
Here's to love in your lives.
More prayers for Ira and you. God I beg of you to give them peace. God clear their minds, renew their strength, may they rest and have peace that you are God. May they remember your goodness and show Sophia your love. God, comfort sweet Ira, your precious angel who has touched us all. We love the Hays' and trust You with their hearts, their lives.
