sigh...

Ira won't be coming home this week. He has a staff infection in his trach and again, he's on higher settings on the vent. There's another infection around the trach site that they are treating as well. We're in this weird place where they can't really release him because of these infections but everyone knows that staying in the hospital is not ideal either. And so the waiting continues.

I have been reading the story of Ira since I found the link on Stacy's blog. My heart sank when I saw that Ira wasn't coming home this week. I can't imagine the struggle you have every day - I think of you and pray for you often

I am frustrated just reading about this, Joe. I hate to wait on anything -- cannot imagine when the wait involves bringing your son home. In my thoughts . . .

"Happy are those who persevere and attain the 1,335 days," said the prophet Daniel. Never made much sense until now. You guys hang in there.

peace -- Kate

Hope you didn't get a concussion banging your head on hearing that news. I have a bruise. Staph. Bad buggers, they are.

My prayer is that Ira is home with his family for his first birthday.
