We'll be praying that the surgery is a success, that this be what Ira needs to feel better and keep progressing, and that you guys can feel some "rest" from the stress soon.

I am amazed and thankful that so many people have even been able to find words to write to you guys. This latest development left both of us feeling like we got the wind knocked out of us - not sure what to say. (But we have plenty to say to God!) We and so many others will continue to cover you in prayer - may our God who sees what is happening move His mighty hand on Ira's behalf and move mightily in your spirits as well to give you the strength and endurance and peace you need to get through yet another surgery and recovery. Our hearts go out to you - we love you. Thanks for keeping everyone posted.

Joe and Laura,

Like many others, I'm sure, I have been reading your blog every day or so, but never posted, because I just didn't know what to say. I still don't know what to say, except that we love you and your family very much and have been praying for y'all (like that Texas touch?) here in the northwest. We KNOW you will get through this trying time, but enduring it is so painful.

We pray that strong little Ira will continue to be strong and battle through this surgery so that he can go home with his loving parents, adorable sister and energetic dog!!

Love,
Rhyan and Kari

Sweet Ira, be strong...

"Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong."(1 Corinthians 16:13)

Be safe...

"Stay with me, and do not be afraid; for the one who seeks my
life seeks your life; you will be safe with me." (1 Samuel 22:23)

Be well.

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me." (Psalm 23:4)
